Yeah, we are a good young team, hopefully we don't fall off the charts into mediocrity.
Hopefully, we use both 1st round picks wisely, I'd use one on a WR (if we can't pick up Fitzgerald, Roy Williams, or another really good WR) to start planning for Glenns departure. I think TO will hang out for a few more years, he stays very healthy and does have a work ethic like no other WR out there.
I'd then use the other 1st on DB, we need some fire back there to make big plays, we allow way to many pass yards overall and this could shore it up if done right.
We shall meet again thirdsin...

Hey line check out these two beasts: youtube.com/watch?v=bS_Ii1rrWtcCutler's the best young QB in the league and Marshall's one of the, if not the best young wideout in the game. That throw against Minne at around 1:25 is just nasty. I cream my shorts watchin some of those LAZERS. Damn can't wait for the draft...

No worries Third, the Patriots are still 18 and DOH! Congrats on the undefeated regular season and making it to the Super Bowl and playing a hell of a game, but like Philip Rivers, you can only do so much with so serious an injury. Don Shula and the boys of '72 are poppin' the Crystal as we speak, while Gisele's having pity sex with Uno-Dos ( doesn't ring as well as Ocho-Cinco), but either way you tell me who's having the better night tonight, tough call, tough tough call. Don't worry though, Belicheck is getting those cameras ready for next year...lawl. And sorry in advance Thirdsin, I couldn't pass these up, being that I'm a bitter Carolina Panthers fan:

the Panthers will again, NOT make the playoffs Yeah, ok....SIKE! We've got the core unit for making a run back to the super bowl (and seal the deal this time), all we need is a few more pieces to finish the puzzle through free agency ( Chad Johnson ftw, and a safety) and the draft ( some O-Lineman and a solid QB to start developing) and we're golden. That and stop getting fucking injuries like a son of a bitch like we've done the last three years in a row.

nah linebacker you guys dont need a qb, david carr sets records man just start him, ive never seen a qb on his back so much, except for that time i made micks mom put on a Romo jersey. Watch out for the texans next year though, we are finally starting to come together as a team, and should have an even better season next year.

Why would you put a Romo jersey on Mick's mom for? Only clean and proper individuals can wear that jersey!

I hate you sluts... gr... fukin bullshit.. i quit watching nfl... Where should I start........18-1 doesn't bring home the Lombardy, but hell, it was still a record year right? Maybe next year little fella, maybe next year. Then again, maybe not...they did take away Belichecks ability to film the opposing teams defensive calls.... Hey, in all honesty, it was a good game, unless you were a Pats fan. I know about that, someone told me that when those nasty G-Men beat us in the playoffs. I still think our teams were the best from both conferences and shoulda been in the Bowl together. Just don't off yourself, we kinda like you being around,.

Can someone explain the reasoning behind all this congressional investigation shit into Spygate? I mean, damn, the roids hearings were already far enough.

Post by ThirdSin on Feb 15, 2008 10:43:39 GMT -5
Yea, here's my take:
1. The Congressman from Penn justifies it bc the NFL is given special antitrust exemptions. Meaning it can be the only show in town and strictly regulate its shit-and it is therefore expected to guarantee it's 'legitimate' status. Personally I think that congressman just looking for re-election publicity for life. Once his name(whatever it is, im not looking it up) is all over the news enough, everyone in Penn will vote him back to Congress until he dies in office..
2. Now, when the Spygate scandal first started i said to myself, 'jesus, why bother? it probably didnt give a huge advantage, a lot of teams did it (probably not on the scale the Pats apparently did), all nfl teams were warned in off-season to cut the shit-then bill kept doing it anyway. So i didnt mind the penalty imposed, Bill said go fuckthemselves to the rule, and the nfl said gofuckyourselves to the pats. But with the new shit coming to light about a. How far back this is going. b. What was actually taped (in game signals is one thing. But if they taped a pregame walk through as that person is complaining, that's way far over the line.) I'm starting to seriously question what the hell went on. Add to this the 'destruction' of the tapes and notes, and we have a possible scandal that will linger for many many many years to come. I couldnt watch another pats game if this goes south. I love my team, but i can't stand cheaters-be they in the NFL or MLB.

It looks like your 1st place trophy is assured, that is a beast roster, but one question, why put LT on the second team? McFadden is going to be sharing significant carries with Justin Fargas and Michael Bush is a beast who is finally healthy, so he'll get his dues as well. Great picks on those Panthers players though, even Smith whose out for the first two games of the season is going to have a hell of a year now that Delhomme is back to form and healthy, and Jonathan Stewart, Lord have mercy. I think Jericho Cotchery is going to have a break out season this year, the man graduated from NC State right before I arrived and he is one of the most explosive and well rounded wideouts I've ever seen, and he's actually increased his size and speed since coming to the Pros, and now that he has #4 lobbing passes his way, forget about it. I could go on and on, but that is a great roster you amassed there 101, only thing though is that if Vince Young doesn't get his shit together, and those around him on offense as well ( Chris Johnson can only be expected to do so much, especially when he starts seeing 8 or 9 defenders in the box), then the Titans defense is going to be on the field for far too long, and thus number wise they may not be spectacular some weeks. But that is a defense with a lot of talent and a lot of potential, so good pick nonetheless. Oh, and Thirdsin: thats ok... the Panthers will again, NOT make the playoffs next year. Hope you like basketball... Care to modify/retract your previous prediction? www.youtube.com/watch?v=3txfVaZ4EBI
